Description

A flavorful and quick-to-make Honey Soy Crispy Beef and Noodles dish featuring tender marinated beef stir-fried to a crispy finish, tossed with savory egg noodles and fresh green onions for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef and Marinade

  • 500 grams (1 lb) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger

Noodles and Seasoning

  • 250 grams (9 oz) egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well to coat all pieces and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  2. Cook the noodles: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles until al dente, usually about 3-4 minutes depending on the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Fry the beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef slices in batches and cook until browned and crispy on the edges, about 3-5 minutes per batch. Remove and set aside.
  4. Toss noodles and beef: In the same skillet, add the cooked noodles, the remaining soy sauce from the marinade if any, and sesame oil. Toss everything together well, then add the crispy beef slices and combine thoroughly to heat through.
  5. Add green onions and serve: Stir in the chopped green onions and cook for another minute. Serve warm, optionally garnished with additional chopped green onions and sesame seeds for extra flavor and crunch.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add chili flakes or sliced fresh chili during the stir-fry step.
  • Use flank steak or sirloin for the best tenderness and flavor.
  • If using dried egg noodles, be sure not to overcook to keep them firm and prevent mushiness.
  • Sesame seeds sprinkled on top add a nice texture and nutty aroma.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
