Ingredients
Scale
Butter Mixture
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Dough
- 1 (16-ounce) tube refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 biscuits)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly oil a baking sheet or spray it with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Make Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, freshly grated Parmesan, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried parsley flakes, and salt. Set this mixture aside for later use.
- Shape the Knots: Halve each of the 8 buttermilk biscuits, creating 16 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 5 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Tie each rope into a knot, tucking the ends underneath to keep the shape.
- Brush and Bake: Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the knots with half of the butter and Parmesan mixture. Bake them in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the knots from the oven and immediately brush them with the remaining butter mixture for maximum flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute the Parmesan with Pecorino Romano cheese for a sharper flavor.
- For an extra garlicky punch, add freshly minced garlic to the butter mixture.
- Use refrigerated biscuit dough for convenience; homemade dough can also be used if preferred.
- Serve these knots fresh out of the oven for the best texture and taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain crispness.
