Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 pounds chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Assembly

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prep chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the chicken breasts on it.
  2. Season chicken: Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the chicken breasts. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly onto both sides of the chicken breasts.
  3. Bake chicken: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 25 to 30 minutes until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Prepare bang bang sauce: While the chicken bakes, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey in a medium bowl. Whisk thoroughly until the sauce is smooth and fully blended.
  5. Cool and shred chicken: Remove the baked chicken from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Then shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces using two forks.
  6. Toss chicken in sauce: Place the shredded chicken in a large bowl and toss with the prepared bang bang sauce until the chicken is evenly coated and flavorful.
  7. Prepare slider buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally to create tops and bottoms. Arrange the bottom halves on a serving platter.
  8. Assemble sliders: Spoon a generous amount of the saucy bang bang chicken onto each bottom bun. Sprinkle chopped green onions, cilantro leaves, and shredded carrots on top for freshness and crunch.
  9. Finish and serve: Place the top halves of the slider buns onto the assembled bottoms, serve immediately, and enjoy these flavorful Bang Bang Chicken Sliders!

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more sriracha to the bang bang sauce or sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes.
  • You can prepare the bang bang sauce a day ahead and refrigerate it to enhance the flavors.
  • Use slider buns or small sandwich rolls to keep the portion size perfect for appetizers or casual meals.
  • Feel free to add lettuce or cucumber slices for additional crunch and freshness.
  • Leftover bang bang chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
